Early Career Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists

The Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (FCAP) 2019 Conference Organising Committee invites early career child and adolescent psychiatrists to attend a special event with Professor Bruno Falissard and other professionals specialising in career development and training in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Professor Bruno Falissard is an Assistant Professor in child and adolescent psychiatry and Professor in biostatistics. He is the head of the Center of Epidemiology and Population Health, which comprises 500 members and is a co-author of more than 400 papers. His personal areas of research include methodology and epistemology of mental health research. In 2015 he became the President of International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professionals (IACAPAP) and a member of the French Academy of Medicine.

Who is an early career child and adolescent psychiatrist?

There is no age limit — anyone who thinks they are an early career child and adolescent psychiatrist probably is!

As a guide this session is primarily aimed at:

  • Those who have completed the Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the last 5 years
  • Those who are currently working towards completing the Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Junior doctors considering a career in child and adolescent psychiatry are also invited.

This dedicated session will take place on Friday 25 October 2019 from 15:30-16:30 and include interactive presentations. This session will be followed by afternoon refreshments from 16:30-17:30, providing delegates with the opportunity to meet and mingle with those at a similar career stage.
