Dr Megan Chambers has worked as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for the past 30 years. She has worked in a range of public sector clinical settings, in both in-patient and community roles. Much of her career was in Western Sydney, but for the past almost 6 years she has worked in Central Australia in the health service based in Alice Springs. Dr Chambers has had a consistent interest in understanding the presentations of children and adolescents in their interpersonal and social contexts, and hence has had a focus on working with their families and the service systems around them. Currently she is also working with FACS in NSW to help develop partnerships with local mental health services for high needs children in care, and with indigenous and other health services in Central Australia, and Territory Families to help with a partnership approach in that setting.
